Test rules — read before you start

This test follows the conventions used in SSC-style typing/skill tests. Once the timer starts, it cannot be paused.

Backspace	Allowed — correct mistakes already typed. Overusing it breaks rhythm.
Arrow keys	Allowed — move the cursor to fix an earlier error.
Delete	Allowed — works on text already entered.
Tab key	Required at the start of every new paragraph. Typing manual spaces instead costs a half mistake.
Live error marks	None. The screen never tells you what's wrong as you type — self-check.
Auto-scroll	None. The passage does not scroll for you.
Copy / paste	Disabled in both the passage and the typing box.
Spell-check	None — every letter, space and capital is on you.
If you finish early	Revise what you've typed — do not restart.

Full mistake (1 word) — a word/figure omitted, wrong, or extra; any spelling error; a repeated word; an incomplete word.
Half mistake (0.5 word) — spacing errors; wrong capitalisation; punctuation omitted/added/replaced; word-order transposition; a paragraph started with spaces instead of Tab.
